GET TO KNOW KATRINA:
Katrina Hennings is a proud graduate of Springville High School and has spent her life across St. Clair County. This community isn’t just where she lives — it’s home. The people, the schools, the small-town values, and the sense of responsibility to one another are what shaped her and continue to guide her today.
Before stepping into public office, Katrina built a long and successful career in real estate. Since 1997, she has worked as a real estate agent and managing broker, served as President of the St. Clair County Association of REALTORS®, and completed the Leadership St. Clair program through the St. Clair County Economic Development Council. Her work in real estate gave her firsthand insight into the importance of strong infrastructure, thoughtful planning, and the need for sustainable, community-minded growth.
Katrina began her journey in public service in 2007 when she was elected to the Springville City Council. She is now serving her second term as Mayor Pro Tem. Throughout her time on the council, she has served two terms on Springville’s Budget Committee, where she has been a reliable voice for responsible spending, transparent decision-making, and easing the financial burden on taxpayers.
Her commitment to service extends far beyond Springville. Katrina represents her community on the Board of Directors for the Alabama League of Municipalities, where she has earned the designation of Advanced Certified Municipal Official. She also serves on the Board of Directors for the Middle Alabama Area Agency on Aging (M4A), an organization dedicated to providing essential support and resources for people across every stage of life.
More important than any role or title, Katrina is a mother, wife, and grandmother. She and her husband, Dennis, have been married for 34 years. They have three daughters and six grandchildren, who never fail to brighten her day. For Katrina, family is irreplaceable — and it’s a big part of why she remains passionate about working toward a safer, stronger, and more prosperous future for every family in St. Clair County.

Government should work for the people.
That's going to be the goal from Day 1.
